The following questions were submitted at employee meetings
June 8-9 Meeting
Traffic at barricades; can SRR help possibly by asking WSI to open the right lane when there are no trucks entering?
- Have met with WSI and have shared our concerns.
- Spending time in line is on your own nickel and I know how frustrating it can be.
- I will ask WSI about possibly using the right lane.
You’ve presented lots of process improvements. Will there be money available to accomplish it?
- Currently funded at full level, but it is a government contract and that can change.
- Our contract is based on accomplishing all our proposed work within our current budget.
Integrated Subcontractor and Critical Subcontractor, what is the difference?
- Integrated allows for greater access to all the company’s technologies, resources and people.
- Critical is for specific scope, i.e. vitrification, specific technology, etc.
I didn’t realize that Tank 50 is just as critical to return to service as Tank 48.
- Both are crucial to implement our system plan and our flow sheet.
When will the org charts come out?
- Once the window on jobs closes, we want to populate the charts. About June 26, we should have it all worked out and can begin giving you accurate org charts.
Do all our subcontractors terminate on June 30?
- We will not renew all subcontracts since we did match some employees to jobs subcontractors now perform. However, not all subcontracts will be affected.
