Our team companies’ combined radioactive LW capabilities, experience, and performance are unmatched in the industry. We safely operate and maintain all 243 of the radioactive liquid waste tanks in the DOE complex. We are the only companies to have operationally closed radioactive liquid waste tanks (15 total) in the DOE complex. We are the only companies to have operated HLW vitrification facilities in the U.S. (at SRS and WVDP). Our team companies are currently designing and constructing the world’s largest HLW vitrification facility at Hanford, while AREVA brings experience in operating HLW vitrification facilities at La Hague and Marcoule, and contributes an innovative enhanced chemical cleaning (ECC) solution to our technical approach. Further, we are the only companies to have submitted and received approvals for waste determinations compliant with Section 3116 of the Ronald W. Reagan National Defense Authorization Act.

Our most significant experience, however, is our ability to implement successful safety cultures—safety is the basis for all work we perform.
