S.C. Chamber Recognizes Savannah River Remediation for Diversity

Aiken, S.C. -- Savannah River Remediation LLC (SRR) was recognized as one of 11 South Carolina companies for its diversity program during a dinner held October 19, 2010, in Columbia by the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Accepting the award were (second from left) Stephanie Dingle, SRR Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Employee Concerns Program (ECP) and Employee Relations Manager; Anita Manigault, ECP lead; and Karen Jenkins, EEO lead. Making the presentation during the 2010 South Carolina Excellence in Workplace Diversity program were Cheryl Behymer (left), chairperson of the chamber's Diversity Committee, and Otis Rawl, President and CEO of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
SRR is the Savannah River Site's (SRS) Liquid Waste contractor. SRS is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. The SRS Liquid Waste contract is managed by SRR, a team of companies led by URS Corp. with partners Bechtel National, CH2M Hill and Babcock & Wilcox. Critical subcontractors for the contract are AREVA, Energy Solutions and URS Safety Management Solutions.
