Dave OlsonDave Olson
President and Project Manager

Dave Olson is an exceptional leader at SRS known for staying ahead of problems, making the best use of resources, and directing record-breaking achievements. He successfully led WSRC’s LW program throughout 2007. Over the past 5 years— first as Operations Manager, then as Executive Vice President—Dave accomplished all DOE contract and project objectives for $1.5B in scope, and he did it safely and within budget and schedule. Dave brings our team exceptional experience in safety, change management, and cost performance.


Stuart McVeanStuart McVean
Operations and Deputy Project Manager

Stuart MacVean has 30 years experience in the nuclear industry with positions of increasing responsibility in operations, maintenance, engineering, waste management, emergency management, decommissioning, startup and project management. Stuart provides operational leadership for the Liquid Waste contract at SRS. His responsibilities include assuring that safety and environmental regulations are strictly maintained; assuring safe operation of facilities; and developing strategic execution plans that will maintain liquid waste facilities and assure delivery of DOE and other stakeholder project objectives.

Victor Franklin Victor Franklin
Waste Determinations Manager & General Counsel

Victor Franklin is a demonstrated leader, motivator, and strategic thinker with a proven track record of quickly assessing problems and providing quality, innovative, customer-focused solutions. He has in-depth knowledge and experience with the entire Waste Determination process and with all involved parties. As a former enforcement attorney with the EPA, he has tremendous depth and breadth of environmental experience, including resolving multi-million dollar cleanups involving federal and state regulators and third parties.


Dan WoodDan Wood
Waste Removal and Tank Closure Manager

As the Waste Removal and Tank Closure Project Director, Dan Wood is responsible for the implementation of projects for the removal of over 38 million gallons of high-level waste from 49 waste tanks and the subsequent closure through grouting. With over 25 years at Savannah River Site (SRS) and an additional five years at other U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) sites and in commercial nuclear programs, Dan has extensive experience in nuclear facilities, regulatory compliance and project management.


Steve Wilkerson Steve Wilkerson
DWPF and Saltstone Operations Manager

Steve Wilkerson brings a new perspective to Defense Waste Processing Facility (DWPF) based on his in-depth site knowledge. As facility manager, he introduced fresh ideas and a new management style, resulting in significant success. He was involved in DWPF’s initial startup, where he gained valuable knowledge and insights through his work in operator training and certification and development of processes and procedures. He has surpassed safety and production expectations by encouraging creativity and instilling a culture of empowerment.


Wyatt Clark Wyatt Clark
Tank Farm and Effluent Treatment Project Operations Manager

Wyatt Clark has had an outstanding record of base operations, including project completion throughout his 24-year career at SRS. From 1998 until mid-2007 he safely managed three facilities to store and process HLW and logged over 4,000 radioactive waste transfers totaling 78M gallons. His operations safely and securely handled 57% of all internal transfers at F and H tank farms and 83% of inter-area transfers. During this time he managed waste removal activities from five non-compliant waste tanks.

Cliff Winkler Cliff Winkler
Engineering Manager

Cliff Winkler brings three decades of vitrification engineering, production engineering, and tank closure experience—likely the only person in the U.S. with this combination of expertise. At West Valley Demonstration Project (WVDP) from 1987 to 2001, Cliff was involved from the start in engineering WVDP’s vitrification plant. He has led teams of 200 to 300 engineers in designing DOE’s largest high-level waste vitrification and low-activity waste pretreatment facilities.


Mark SchmitzMark Schmitz
Salt Disposition Integration, Salt Disposal Units, SWPF Interface Manager

Mark Schmitz has 30 years of experience in U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear facilities and 24 years in multi-functional management of complex nuclear facilities. He has significant experience in the operation of plutonium, uranium and tritium facilities with a strong Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H) background. Currently, he has responsibility for the Saltstone Disposal Units, capital asset projects valued at $336 million under the current SRR contract. He also has responsibility for Salt Disposition and Salt Waste Processing Facility (SWPF) integration, an $84 million portfolio to prepare SRR systems for SWPF feed and return operations.

Rodney BlackmonRodney Blackmon
Project Integration and Planning Manager

As Project Integration and Planning Manager, Rodney Blackmon is responsible for the integration of project execution and support including project controls in all functional areas, planning necessary to meet contract scope, system interface with Savannah River Site (SRS) contractors and stakeholders, and ownership of the contract performance baseline. Rodney has a broad background in project management positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of project integration, project controls, risk management, systems integration, configuration management, controls and instrumentation, and training development. He has over 25 years experience in the commercial nuclear industry and with U.S. Department of Energy contracts.

Ted MyersTed Myers
Human Resourc es, EEO, ECP and Employee Relations Director

As Human Resources Director of Savannah River Remediation (SRR), Ted Myers is responsible for all human resources activities affecting the company at the Savannah River Site. He also has responsibility for the SRR Equal Employment Opportunity, Employee Concerns Program and Employee Relations department. Ted has over 20 years of experience in the field of human resources management, business and operations management, and project planning and development. He assumed the duties as SRR Deputy Human Resources Director in April 2011. Prior to joining SRR, He was a Regional Human Resource Director for URS Global Management and Operations Services.

Clay SprouseClay Sprouse
Internal Oversight Director

Clay Sprouse serves as the director of Internal Oversight. His responsibilities include independent reviews, examinations, evaluations and tests of the SRR internal control structure, which supports the accomplishment of management objectives in the areas of asset protection, information and resources concerning the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of financial, managerial and operating information. Prior to joining the company, Clay directed and managed the internal audit departments for BI-LO LLC in Greenville, South Carolina, and Morris Communications Company in Augusta, Georgia. He has a proven track record with over 20 years experience in audit, finance, compliance and risk management across various industries to include state, local and federal government, retail and communications.

Patricia Allen Patricia Allen
ESH&QA and Contractor Assurance Manager

Patricia Allen understands the technical and regulatory complexities at SRS that is gained through a series of management positions covering operations support, operations training, waste certification, H Tank Farm facility support, and technical services engineering. She is recognized throughout the DOE complex for excellence in ESH&Q, waste management, and regulatory compliance. Under her leadership, WSRC achieved its best all-around safety performance in 2006 and 2007, received VPP Legacy of Stars status, and had no findings from external permit audits in three years.

Sandra Fairchild Sandra Fairchild
Finance, Administration, and Business Services Manager

Sandra Fairchild is a proven leader with over 25 years of diversified financial experience in the fields of technical planning and controls management, procurement, contracts administration, accounting, and governmental negotiations. She has demonstrated exemplary leadership in times of change, successfully guiding WSRC through significant financial challenges. Sandra has proven abilities in strategic planning and business operations.


Dean CampbellDean Campbell
Public Affairs Manager

Dean Campbell is the Manager of Savannah River Remediation's (SRR) Public Affairs, a position to which he was appointed in 2008. He focuses on external and Site communications; government affairs at the local, state and federal levels; community relations; public involvement; education outreach; and internal communications. Dean began his career in Public Affairs at SRS in 1989 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility in the Public Affairs field, including Lead Public Information Specialist to Manager of Liquid Waste internal and external communications.

Kim CassaraKim Cassara
Project Management, Design and Constrution Manager

Kimbra S. Cassara is Project Management, Design and Construction Services Manager. In this capacity, she is responsible for all aspects of design and construction, Six Sigma and estimating activities for SRR, as well as Project Management excellence. She is responsible for leading a workforce of over 300 design and construction personnel, as well as over 350 construction craft personnel. In addition to her SRR Manager role, Kim is an SRR Vice President representing Bechtel National Inc. in the SRR partnership. Kim has over 30 years of experience in the fields of project and program management and execution, environmental restoration and compliance, and hazardous waste management.

Owen StevensOwen Stevens
Enviromental Compliance Manager

As the Environmental Compliance Manager, Owen Stevens is responsible for environmental regulatory compliance, waste characterization and environmental compliance authority support to operations. He is the senior Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) representative on the SRR partnership team. Owen has 32 years of experience in the fields of environmental compliance, waste management, nuclear operations, waste treatment, technical management, and environmental laboratory services. His waste management and environmental compliance experience includes managing permitted wastewater treatment facilities, potable water treatment facilities, hazardous, radioactive and mixed waste storage and treatment facility, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB) programs, asbestos abatement projects, underground storage tank removal and management, super compactor operations, recycle facilities operations, spill coordinator and pollution prevention activities.

John DickensenJohn Dickensen
Senior Technical Advisor

John Dickenson has responsibility for integration of the company's technical and strategic activities. In this capacity, he is responsible for identifying opportunities for mission success and resolving issues that present significant risks, along with directing improvement and reinvention of the corporate strategic vision. He leads SRR implementation of the DOE-EM Enhanced Tank Waste Strategy, with the objective of accelerating completion of Liquid Waste Disposition at the Savannah River Site (SRS). John has more than 32 years of experience in the fields of operations, maintenance, engineering, quality assurance, regulatory interaction, program management, mission development, and strategic planning. He has an extensive background in integrating SRS nuclear materials processing capability with DOE complex-wide needs.

John TsengJohn Tseng
Senior Technical Advisor

John Tseng serves the Savannah River Remediation (SRR) Office of the President as a Senior Technical Advisor, responsible for interfacing with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to facilitate the implementation of SRR initiatives. He is co-chairing a SRR Think Tank to identify and evaluate opportunities to improve SRR performance. He is working with SRR's policies, requirements, strategies and actions that will lead to meeting SRR's contract commitment of closing waste tanks. John has over 37 years experience in the nuclear industry working with DOE at several locations. He most recently was a senior advisor in Stockpile Manufacturing and Support Directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
